Surprises...Samples...and Savings...SWEET!

It's a beautiful summer day in freebie land today FFH's!

I slept in today...had a relaxing morning, had breakfast, drank my new favorite coffee (Starbuck's Blond Roast - Veranda Blend) from my Mother's Day gift (my Keurig), with my favorite creamer (Organic Valley Hazelnut 1/2 & 1/2), and read my KJV Bible and had my quiet time...does it get much better than that!!!

Then as if it could get any better, I checked the mailbox...and to my surprise there was a box!

Yes this is one of those weird pictures I can't get to face the right directions...so everyone turn their heads or computer's sideways to see what I won!!!  I don't even remember entering to win this...but I enter so many of the giveaway contests posted by my faithful freebie pages that I loose track.  It seems to be from Self magazine.  Hurray!  I actually won one of them!  I got a free full sized Caress body wash!  Woo Hoo!

Yeah!!!  It's finally here!  The free Target bag of the season we got for free in May came yesterday.  It has some great travel sized product samples.  I'm especially excited about the little Neutrogena sun lotion, perfect for purses.  And of course a great coupon book...makes for some great deals at Publix when you stack this store coupon with a manufacturer coupon.  If you missed this free bag, watch for the next one on their Facebook page (Target Style).  If you really want this one, if you go to Target.com and order $3 of select products you get one free for a limited time.

Well...I guess this is sideways day lol!  But above are the samples I got in the mail today.  I got a scented trash bag sample with coupon and a stretch mark cream sample and coupon.

Cards are free at CVS this week if you buy the .99 cards.  Buy 3 Halmark cards, get $3 ECB making them free!  But I messed up, because one of the cards I bought was stuck in the wrong spot, and it wasn't .99 and I didn't check, so I paid $2.59 for one and .99 for the other two less the $3, so 2 were free and I paid 1.57 for the other (not pictured because it wasn't free!).

Finally my favorite buys at CVS yesterday!  The red coupon machine was VERY good to me.  I was able to scan it about 4 times and it kept spitting out coupons...and good ones!  (always scan your card until it says no more coupons available).

The machine spit me out a $7 off any Physicians Formula makeup.  To my surprise there were select products on sale for 40% off!  So I was able to get the Organic mascara for $6.29 (retail $10.49), for FREE!  Plus a .71 overage!

I also got a CVS coupon spit out for $2 off any NYC makeup over $1.99.  I wasn't sure this would work...but it did.  I purchased a $1.99 mascara and a .99 nail polish.  Select NYC products were buy one get one 50% off of equal or lesser value.  So both products came to $2.48, less the $2 off coupon making it .48 for both items which is great!  But even better, apply the .71 overage making both free plus .23 to spare!

Recap:

Caress Body Wash full sized bottle...FREE!
Target Beauty Bag plus coupons...FREE!
Scented trash bag sample...FREE!
Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark cream sample...FREE!
2 Hallmark Cards...FREE!
Physician's Formula organic mascara...FREE!
NYC mascara & nail polish...FREE!

Well that's it for now.  I'll keep you posted if anything else free comes my way today?

Let me know what you've scored today!

I'm back!

Hi There all you FFH's (Fellow Freebie Hunters),

I know I've been MIA for a few days...but I have had my niece and nephew staying here the past few days while my sister hangs at the hospital with her husband who had surgery Fri.  (Thanks for the prayers by the way).

So...on to the freebies:

Actually the mail has been rather on the slow side, so you didn't miss that much.  I didn't get any free samples other then a full sized sample of Physician's Formula Intensive Wrinkle Corrector Eye Cream.  I was very excited to get!  I almost didn't get it.  It was a Facebook page giveaway and you had to be one of the first 1000 I think it was to get one.  I was on that page refreshing away, and right on time I got the form to fill out.  But for whatever reason it wouldn't let me submit it.  I wrote to them, and they were able to somehow check on it and I got in!!!  I've been using it the past few days...it says in just 14 days of use I will see results making me look years younger lol!  So now I have that Harvey Prince perfume making me smell younger, and this making me look younger...I'm all set!

Next I got a few things from my favorite snack company LesserEvil giveaways on their Facebook page.  I received the bag of Krinkle sticks I won the other day, and the T-Shirt I got for my son.  I'm a little bummed because my shirt came in white, and his was light blue, one of my favorite colors!  I guess I'll just have to win another one for me!

Finally I went to CVS last night and Publix tonight before this weeks sales ad expired.  I had to pick up some must haves like my husband's favorite BBQ sauce that was on sale (plus I had coupons of course!)...but it wasn't free...darn!

I did however get a few items on my list totally free:

At CVS I got another One Touch blood glucose meter for free with a $10 off coupon.  I plan to donate it.  At Publix I got a great deal on Wheat thins family sized box of crackers.  Publix had a BOGO sale (buy one get one) on select Nabisco crackers.  I happened to have a coupon for a free Nabisco item up to $4.69 that they sent me after I called them about Belvita Biscuits that time.  (See call your companies!).  I saved it for a time like this when I not only got one box for my coupon good up to $4.69...but because it was BOGO, I got 2!!!  I again did the Nature's Made vitamin deal on $3.99 D3 400iu and $3.99 Magnesium, using the $6/2 store coupon from the Publix Green advantage flyer and stacked it with the $1 off Vit. D and $1 off any Nature's made coupon I found in the newspaper.  This wasn't as good as last week when I had those $2 off printable coupons which made me $1 a bottle...but they were still Free so I shouldn't complain.

Let's recap:

Physician's Formula eye wrinkle corrector...FREE!
LesserEvil snack and shirt...FREE!
One Touch Meter...FREE!
2 Family Size Wheat Thins...FREE!
6 Bottles Nature's Made Vitamins...FREE!

For those of you with younger children (15 or under), you can also get a great free deal this summer.  Go to Kidsbowlfree.com.  You can sign your kids up to bowl 2 free games a day (except Sat. in most locations) all summer long!  For a small charge of $24.95 you can also sign up the adults in the family (up to 4 adults including baby sitter or grandparents) can be added for the one time price.  Now the adults get 2 games with the kids every day too!

So now I may have perfume to make me smell younger, and eye cream to make me look younger...but after bowling two games yesterday, I sure need something to make my muscles and joints FEEL younger!!!

Nite FFH's!

A Post & A Prayer...

Good Evening FFH's,

Today was filled with surprises!  First came my mail.  Between yesterday and today I got several free samples.

I got a sample herbal supplement for allergies from Rootology.

I got a Propel zero sample I will pass along to my neighbor because I don't do artificial sugar.

I got a sample of Cutex nail polish remover plus a coupon.

I had ordered a free sample of Harvey Prince's perfume called "Ageless" (supposed to make you smell 8-12 years younger...I'll let you know if it works!).  I didn't put that in the picture because technically it wasn't free because I had to pay $6.99 shipping for it, but it's worth it because it was a decent size bottle with a roller top.  But I did picture the sample they sent me (this was a true sample size vial...the bottle I got was much larger).  This was another of their fragrances called "flirt".  I better only wear this one around my husband!

Finally I received my rebate check from Lysol for my hands free kitchen soap dispenser for a whopping $3!  But every little bit counts!

I hit the jackpot on the Old Navy Snap Appy today!  I got a Snap 5, $5 off any purchase coupon on both my iphone and ipad to score 2 $5 items.  My daughter used one for a Mad Libs (remember those!) book for $4 and a $1 candy for her brother.

I got another Flag T, in red this time.

I didn't get them yet...but I won a giveaway on LesserEvil Snacks Facebook page again today for a free bag of their awesome snacks!  Thanks LesserEvil!

The surprise of the night was when I went on Facebook and discovered a giveaway I had entered early showed my name as the winner!  I actually was just looking into Jane Iredale mineral makeup the other day...and I won a liquid mineral foundation!!!  I am so excited to try it!  (Thanks to the Beauty Collection FB page for the giveaway!)

On a more serious note...I'd like to ask you all to pray for my brother-in-law Rob who will be having surgery tomorrow morning.

Thank you!

My cup runneth over!!!

Hi FFH's,

Can you believe it...two posts in one day!

I just couldn't wait until tomorrow to share everything I got free today.  I'm so excited to share it with you.

Let's start with the mail:

I got a sample from Seattle's Best coffee.  Plus a nice coupon!  I'm looking forward to trying this one.  They have a new number system for their coffees and I love light roast coffee so I picked #1.  Right now my favorite coffee is Starbucks Blonde Roast "Veranda" Blend.  I just got some in K-Cups too!  I guess I will have to use this sample in my re-usable k-cup to try it.

I also got my coupon for any Nabisco Product up to $4.69 from calling about the Belvita Biscuits.  (Side note...call your companies!  Report any problems with products, make comments, suggest changes, more times then not they will send you coupons.  If they don't offer...ASK!).

Finally I got a sample 2 pack of Finish dishwasher tabs.  I also got a .75 coupon (actually I got two of these samples because my sister-in-law sent me hers!  (Thanks Sharon!).

This is my new LesserEvil Snacks T-shirt I won from their Facebook page.  They are an awesome company, and run contests and giveaways almost daily.  I've won lots of free snacks and just won my second shirt!  Check out their page and try their products.  They are REALLY good, and they have good natural ingredients!  My favorite are the Cheddar Cheese Krinkle Sticks.  They leave that great cheese coating on your finger tips after you eat them that you get to lick off!!!  Yum!

Now for the big haul!!!  I went to Wal-Mart tonight after hearing online that Sally Hansen had a $1 coupon on coupons.com.  Wal-Mart has several items for .97 like nail files, foot files and separators for pedicures.  The coupon makes them free.  I had 5 coupons.  (2 from my phone, 2 from my ipad and 1 from my daughter's computer that decided to be temperamental and not print the 2nd one.  Usually you can print 2 per computer).

I also decided to try and use all the $2/2 Kotex Naturals coupons I printed for the Publix sale that ended before they got more in stock.  I didn't want them to expire, so I was hoping they had some...and boy did they!  They were .94 a box.  They had two types that were that price...and I didn't clean them totally out.  They still had more on the shelf.  I had 8 coupons because I did 2 per computer, plus there were several sites that had this coupon.  So I was able to buy 16...all for free!  (By the way, I counted all the liners on my shelf so far and if I use one a day...I have enough for at least a year!).  You may say why do I need so many?  I look at it this way.  Unless I get a free deal on liners, I will almost never have to pay for them again (at least for a very long time).  This is the way to look at most things.  You may not get them free...but if you stock up when they are free or very cheap, you will never have to buy that item at a high price again.  Besides free things...as a rule, buy enough for you and your family to last about 12 weeks.  That's about the time that it will come around on sale again.  If it's free, buy as many as coupons, space and supply allow.

Now I'm not going to say this was easy...the cashier wasn't up on overages I guess and couldn't get that I got these free.  So he called a manager who had to re-ring my whole order again.  (I had also bought a few other things to absorb the few cent overages, but she forgot a $1 coupon...wasn't worth the hassle of having her re-ring AGAIN, so I let it go.  I figured I couldn't complain!).  If you're going to coupon, you're going to have to get used to educating cashiers and even managers.  We actually know their coupon policy better then they do in some cases!

I also stopped at Publix on the way home.  My wonderful friend and neighbor Sally printed me 4 more of the Nature's Made vitamin $2 off coupons to use.  I bought the 4 bottles at $3.99 and also picked up a chocolate Jif to go pack (which I had a .50 off coupon for), that Steph wanted to try.  By the way...don't buy it.  Nobody liked it...very artificial tasting.  Stick to Nutella!!!  Anyway, I ended up getting back $1.65!  So that made up for the $1 mess up at Walmart and all is right with my freebie world again lol.

Here's the re-cap:

Coupon for Nabisco item...FREE!
Coffee sample...FREE!
Finish dishwasher sample...FREE!
LesserEvil shirt...FREE!
4 bottles Nature's Made vitamins...FREE!
5 Sally Hansen nail tools...FREE!
16 Kotex Naturals liners...FREE!
Jif Chocolate dip...FREE!

Whew!  That's it.  I'm tired.

Nite,

Barb

Did you ever get paid to buy groceries???

Good Afternoon FFH's!

I had an amazing experience at Publix last night!  I needed hamburger rolls for dinner...and ended up walking out with the rolls, Nutella hazelnut spread (if you've never tried this...don't, you'll be hooked!), a Starbucks Pomegranate & Raspberry Refresher drink and six bottles of Nature's Made vitamins...and I paid nothing...zero out of pocket!

...and they paid me $2!!!  Yes can you believe it!  There is an awesome deal this week.  When you buy Nature's made supplements you can use the $6 off 2 coupon in the Publix Green Advantage flier available in the front of the store.  Then you print $2 off 1 bottle of Nature's Made vitamins off of http://www.Allyou.com.  If you choose supplements under $5 they end up free when you buy 2, use the Publix SQ (store coupon) and the $2 MQ (manufacturers coupon) together.  This is perfectly legal, as Publix lets you combine a SQ and a MQ on any item.

The way I did it was to buy $3.99 vitamins (I got Vit. D 400iu, Magnesium and I had to get 1 zinc for $4.79 because my store was out of the cheaper ones.

I had printed 2 coupons per my 3 computers...so I had 6.  You can print 2 per computer.

This gave me an overage of over $5!  My order total was also over $30 before coupons, so I was able to use my $5/$30 Winn Dixie competitor coupon too!!!

I also had $1 off on the Nutella so it was only $2.99 after coupon.  I know I don't recommend non-pharmaceutical grade supplements like these, but I really got them for the overage, and will most likely donate the vitamins to someone who would buy them anyway.

I also got a Snap $5 for Old Navy.  For some reason they wouldn't take the Gap one this time, but I did get another re-usable coffee cup.

The two Oral-B toothbrushes are of course from CVS.  I saved those two red coupon machine $1 off any toothbrush coupons from last week and they made these free after ECB's!

Free Nutella
Free Starbuck's refresher
Free Burger Buns
Free 6 bottles vitamins
Free $2!
Free Coffee cup
Free 2 toothbrushes

Not a bad night for freebies!!!  Just wait for today's post!  My mailbox was overflowing, but I have to run some errands before I post.  Check in later!

Fun with Friends and Free stuff...does it get any better?

Well hello FFH's!

I have been having so much fun the past few days with couponing.  I was able to drag...I mean join my friend Sally on a CVS run the other day.  Last night my friend Jan (willingly lol) joined me for an Old Navy and CVS trip.  It's so much more fun if you can coupon and freebie hunt with a friend!

Last night Jan and I had a blast.  We started out at Old Navy.  We used our $5 coupons from the Snap Appy and my new favorite app the Wrapp app.  I got a new Old Navy T and a shark/pig bank for my daughter...yes I know she's 15, but she likes pigs and sharks!  Jan got a couple of freebies with her $5 coupons on her phone also.  Can't beat free!

I also picked up 4 boxes of cereal at CVS.  Not an awesome deal, but I had ECB's, so it wasn't anything out of my pocket, so I consider that free.  The Froot Loops and Apple Jacks were on sale for $1.77 each.  I had a 2 $1/2 Froot Loops coupons, but they only had 2 boxes of them left.  They were nice enough to take the coupon on the Apple Jacks, so I got 2 of those also.  Actually it worked out better getting both varieties.

Today I was helping out a friend and it helped me!  I went on an unplanned Publix trip to pick up soup and a few things for a sick friend of mine.  I had my coupons with me of course, and stumbled on a few great deals along with a few I knew about!  One ended up being 3 packs of Kotex naturals panty liners, not only for free, but a MM (money maker!).  They were $1.49 and I had 2 $1/1 SQ's (store coupons), from the Publix Green Advantage flyer.  Plus I had a printable $2/2 MQ (manufacturers coupon) from coupons.com.  I wasn't prepared and only had one $2/2 coupon, so the 3 cost me $4.47 less the 3 SQ's and 1 $2/2 so it was a .53 MM!  I also picked up a 4 single serving size Silk drinks.  They are on sale $10/10 and I had 2 printable coupons for $2/2 making them all free!

I then dropped her stuff off and did a Target run.  I was able to use my last $10 food saver coupon and score another 2 pack of containers to go with my Hand Held Food Saver.  I got some other good deals at Target, but that was the only free item.

 Old Navy Flag T...FREE!
Pig/Shark bank...FREE!
4 Boxes cereal...FREE (since I used ECB to pay)!
Food Saver containers...FREE!
3 - Kotex panty liners...FREE!
4 - Silk single serve drinks...FREE!

I had planned a deal at the Family Dollar, but stopped at two that didn't have the items so that was a bomb.  But all in all, a good day of freebies!  Hope yours was too!
