FREE from Publix!

Hi again...

Just got back from my food shopping excursion to Publix.  Unfortunately I had a few coupon goof ups and a not so helpful cashier...but it all came out fine in the end.  I might have been able to save a few extra dollars, but after checking the coupon policy (thanks Sally!), I found the cashier was actually correct.  So I wouldn't want to do anything dishonest with my coupons lol!

Well, I won't go into all my deals, because this blog is supposed to be just for posting freebies...but I will tell you I saved over $130 today at Publix!

Here is what I got absolutely free!  (except maybe tax on the makeup):

If you happen to have gotten the "Stocking Spree" Publix coupon book in the mail you have the Publix store coupon for $2 off of any Cover Girl Item. (But hurry, it expires today 4/30).  There is also a $1 off any Cover Girl item in yesterdays P&G Brand Saver insert that makes the Cover Girl eye shadow FREE at Publix.  It's $2.99 less the two coupons...FREE!

Fresh Take,  I got a free coupon for when I signed up at:  www.kraftfirsttaste.com.  You get some really great coupons and offers, so go sign up!

The Oberto coupon you saw in my previous post that I got by playing the "Grab and Win" game on the Oberto Facebook page.

My Free Zone bar coupon was from their Facebook page when they had a promotion.

Just a tip...if you like certain brands, see if they have a Facebook page and "like" it.  You'll get the heads up when then have special promotions and giveaways.

Well, not a bad day in the Freebie world.  Now time to make my CVS and Walgreens lists for tomorrow!

SAMPLE TIME!!!

Hi Freebie Hunters!  Sorry it's almost 5:30pm and I haven't gotten around to posting until now.  BUSY day!

I got home to find I had received two free samples in the mail today.

I got a BB cream from Garnier (this is one of those free samples that you should be hearing about from the freebie/sample Facebook pages I gave you a list of in my previous blog post).

I also received a nice FULL SIZED bottle of Bayer Advanced.  Now those of you who know me, know I'm a Natural Health practitioner and I don't generally take O-T-C or prescription drugs...but I figured it was free, so maybe my hubby can use it or I'll donate it.

This was one of those "HURRY" Bayer is live things that you just had to be on Facebook at the right time to grab.  Remember when those people on my list tell you something is "Live" you better hurry or you'll miss it in literally seconds!

FREE BAYER ADVANCED
FREE Sample BB Cream

Speaking of missing things.  while I was out shopping and running errands today, I missed when Domino's Pizza went live for their FREE Artisan Pizza today.  Did any of you get one?  It went live sometime around 2:45-3:00 as close as I can figure from the posts on Facebook.  DARN!  Well I'll have another chance tomorrow...and so will you if you missed it.

FREE Pearl Ring and $10 off first order!

Hi Freebie Hunters...

I just joined a site called Sneaqpeeq.

It's FREE to join and immediately upon signing up you get 2 free badges.  One is redeemable for the free gift which is currently a pearl ring.

You also receive a second badge worth $10 off your order.  As you search and share with friends you can earn additional badges worth discounts.

From what I've seen this site seems to have some unique gift items.  You are allowed 20 "peeqs" a day.  A "peeq" is when you view an item and they show you the retail price.  Then you click the peeq button and you get to reveal their price.  But choose wisely as you only get 20 items to peeq a day.  You don't have to buy what you peeq, just see what their price is.

I'm trying to save my $10 for a deal that comes up FREE! of course.  So far I did find one item that came out free but I'd have to pay shipping.  So I'm going to keep searching for an item for $10 that has free shipping.  I'll keep you posted!  But my free pearl ring is on the way!

If you'd like to get your FREE ring, sign up at the link below.

Enjoy!

I'm Feeling a little JERKY!!!

Good morning Freebie Hunters...or should I say Good Afternoon!  I am just getting moving today after a long night with my poor dog Snuggles who is petrified of thunder storms.

I just checked my mailbox hoping for a big free sample haul...
but only two things today from Oberto Beef Jerky's "Grab and Win" instant win game on Facebook.

If you "Like" The Oberto Facebook page and click on the Grab and Win tab you can play too.  Usually you win a GIF animated file of a dancing beef jerkey (Woo Hoo!).  But so far this is my second FREE bag of Beef Jerky I've won.

I personally don't like the stuff, but my kids and my husband do.

There was also another envelope that I was thinking was my other free Jerkey coupon...but it was a scratch and sniff sticker that is supposed to smell like Beef Jerkey.  Hmmmmm....not quite sure what I'm going to do with that...but hey...it was FREE.

FREE Oberto Beef Jerky
FREE Oberto scratch & sniff sticker

Slow day today.  But that's the way it goes.  Free samples seem to come in waves.  You feel like you requested so many...then you don't get anything in the mail for sometimes weeks.  Then they start coming pretty steady for awhile.  I was getting on average 2-4 a day for a few weeks there.  It figures now that I've started this blog I'm in a lull.  I hope next week is better.

I had two large baskets full of free samples that I would show you, but just last week I decided to clean them out.  We ate the food items, and I dispersed the rest to the areas of my home that they'd get used (i.e. laundry soap samples in the laundry room etc.).  I had some really good things too like full sized products.  Those are the best.  I've gotten full sized intensive eye treatment from Puristics (retails over $17), a full box of Apple Cider K-cups from Green Mountain, a full sized bottle of Mega Red supplements from the Dr. Oz website and many more.  You just have to be at the right place at the right time and see the deals.

Don't forget to visit my blog post called "Get your pens and paper ready".  Like all those pages on Facebook so you can be up to date on the best deals as they are posted.  (Check back to that post now and then too, because I may update the list.  Actually I'm adding a page I forgot today).

I hope you have a great day of FREE stuff.  Don't forget to comment and share what you got today!

Who wants free pizza???

That's right!  It's back.  A few weeks ago Domino pizza had a Free giveaway to introduce everyone to their new Artisan Pizza.

If you aren't a Domino Pizza fan...you're not alone.  I used to hate that pizza.  The crust was like cardboard and the toppings and sauce were pretty blah.

Well...Domino's has made some changes, because in my opinion the new artisan line is really tasty!  I particularly like the Spinach Feta.  If you are still leery, what better time to try one then with a free offer!

If it goes like last time they did this giveaway, you will have to be on your computer and ready at give away time.  They went really fast!  Like 10,000 in literally seconds!  Make sure you have already "liked" the Domino's Pizza Facebook page.  Familiarize yourself with were the Artisan Pizza give away tab is on their page.  Then watch the freebie site posts for the heads up.  They will try to give us a warning when it will go live...and if you see Domino's Pizza Live...Hurry....go now...you better go!

Based on last give away they went live around 3pm est...but there's no guarantee it will go the same time on Monday.  You had to just keep hitting the refresh button until it went through.  They also say starting Monday, so hopefully we'll have a few days to get a chance to get one.

And yes I know...I said I was only going to post free things I already got...but free pizza is too good not to share!  Plus you have to be prepared or you'll miss it.

Looks like Pizza for dinner Monday night!!!

I Just Love FREE Surprises!!!

Just when I told you there were no Free samples in the mail today...the door bell rang

It was my UPS man.  Normally I would expect him to be delivering my Pure Herbs or Nature's Sunshine orders for my Natural Health business, but this time he had a surprise for me!

I had almost forgotten, but about 2 weeks ago I heard about a deal from Swanson Vitamins from one of my Freebie pages on Facebook.  There was a $5 coupon code on first orders, which could be combined with a special promo code for $1.99 shipping.  I ended up choosing a full sized 25oz. bottle of Dishmate Earth Ultra Natural Grapefruit scented dish soap.  It was at a great price on their site for $2.81.  I used my codes and ended up paying $0.00 out of pocked...as a matter of fact it says on my invoice that they owe me .20!

Better yet,  this is the Freebie that keeps on giving, because in my box was another $5 off coupon (no minimum purchase amount required!).  But unfortunately, the $1.99 shipping promo has ended so shipping would cost me about $4.99.  My coupon is good until Oct. 17th, so I'm sure there will be another shipping promo before then.  I'll just hold on to my coupon and keep an eye out for a special.

I'll keep you all posted if I hear about one.  I did a google search for Swanson Vitamin Coupon Codes, and did find one for 10% off your order if anyone is interested.  It's Swan77x.x.

Well, just wanted to share my FREE surprise with you.  Doing dishes isn't even so bad with a yummy smelling dish soap with no harmful ingredients that was FREE FREE FREE!!!  (OK...I got a little excited there...was still on my Freebie high LOL!  Cancel what I said about doing dishes not being so bad!!!).

My Favorite FREE thing this past week...

Happy Friday everyone!

I have received several free samples in the mail this week...but for the life of me I can't remember all of them!  That's what happens when you get old ha!

That is one of the main reasons I started this blog, so I can keep track of what I have actually gotten.  So from now on I will either post daily (if I get a big haul), or at least weekly what I've received FREE in the mail.

Today, since I can't remember all I received (plus my daughter ate some of the food items already...), I'm just going to show you my favorite pick for the week:

This is the Spring sample bag that Target was giving away a couple of weeks ago.  If you sign up for the Freebie pages on Facebook I told you about in my last post, you will be privy to special deals like this when they come up.   As a matter of fact they were available again for a short time again yesterday too!  You might want to "like" the Target Style Facebook page to get a head start if they are available in the future.  I guess Target does these cute makeup bags full of goodies every season.

This time the bag contained a sample of L'oreal Magic Lumi light infusing primer, Pantene conditioner, Nivea Extended Moisture, Neutrogena Foaming Cleanser and Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes (by the way I am loving the Simple line of products!  I have sensitive skin that seems to break out from most skin care products, and this line has been great!).  In addition to these travel sized samples I also received a Target coupon book with $19 worth of coupons.

What's really nice is that you can combine both a Target coupon and a Manufacturers coupon (if available) for each of those products at Target.  And if you are lucky enough to have a Publix close to your Target, they take competitor coupons from Target and sometimes you can get a better deal if Publix also has a deal or coupon on the item.

Hope you get one next time!

Barb

Get your pens & paper ready...

Good Morning fellow Freebie hunters!

Here is the list I promised you of my favorite go to freebie Facebook pages.  Please don't be offended if I didn't mention your page...I have many, many more great pages I like, but these are the ones I've been with the longest and that have consistently brought me the best deals the fastest.

These are Facebook pages...so if you don't have a Facebook, now is the time to create one, and you guessed it, it's FREE!  (Go to http://www.facebook.com/ and follow the direction for creating a new account).  Once you have a Facebook, go to the search bar at the top of the page and start typing the names I've listed below.  Click on the link for their page and when you get there click on "Like" at the top of the page.  You will now start seeing posts from them on your Facebook news feed.  That's were you will see things like "Hurry" free sample of _______, or Free deal at ________ etc.  So watch their posts closely.

Here is my list:

Free & Fabulous
True Couponing
OC Deal Mama
The Young Couponer
Crayz-Bee's Freebies
TheItMom.com: Coupons & Freebies Deals
The Krazy Coupon Lady
Daily Deals, Freebies, Samples & More
Shawnies Samples & Savings
FreebieGarden
Mailbox Surprises
Passion for Savings
Bluegrass Bargain Bin

Most of these pages have Blogs associated with them also where they share contests and more detailed couponing information so check those out via their Facebook pages also.

I hope this helps give you a good start into the world of Free stuff!!!  I know you can't obsessively sit at the computer 24/7 and sign up for free samples and wait for free deals (and no...I don't do that either lol...well not all the time!  : )  But at least if you pop on the computer you might just catch one of these deals.

Don't forget to sign up for as many free samples as you can because samples make great travel items as well as usually having high dollar value coupons with them.  If it's something you don't use, get it anyway, and you can give it to someone who can use it.  That's one of the great things about free deals...it is a great way to give back and help others less fortunate without having to be rich.  You can donate to your local church or shelter or just help out a friend in need without breaking your budget.

Have a Free and Beautiful day!

I'm getting off track here...

I told you all I was new at this! See I said the purpose of this Blog was to share the Free items I get,  and I'm already veering off track posting upcoming deals!

Not that you shouldn't know about these deals to be prepared...but I'm not the one to keep you informed. I'd forget to tell you about some great deal and you'd be really mad at me lol!

What I can do is give you a list of the sites and pages that I use to find good deals. But of course I'll have to look them all up before I do that so it will have to be tomorrow. I hope my mailbox is full of free stuff tomorrow so I can post pictures. Oh did I mention that FREE samples are an awesome way to not only get free stuff, but high value coupons? I'll post my favorite freebie sample sites too.

Nite!

Happy dreams of double BOGO deals... Barb

Walgreens Freebies for the week starting 4/29

Walgreens is another store that has it's own type of currency.  Like CVS has Extra Care Bucks (ECBs), Walgreens has what they call Register Rewards (RRs).

Personally I prefer the whole system at CVS better...but it does have it's drawbacks because everything is linked to your card so you can't do multiple deals as easily as at Walgreens.

There are two FREE deals this coming week at Walgreens so get your coupons ready!

$3 RR wyb U by Kotex Feminine Care Sleek Tampons 18 ct, $3.99

FREE Starbucks Refreshers Beverage, exp. 5/16/12 (Pepsi Moments 04/29/12)
$1/1 Starbucks Refreshers Beverage printable
Final Price: FREE with MQ!

(MQ = Manufacturers coupon)

See you at Walgreens too!  Those Starbuck's Refreshers are worth a try for FREE!

HEADS UP FOR A CVS DEAL STARTING 4/29...

Get your coupons ready for this great deal at CVS which starts Sunday 4/29:

If you're not a regular CVS shopper because you think they are too expensive, you might want to re-think that.  I thought the same thing until I got my Red CVS Extra Bucks card.  They are free.  Once you get yours you can scan it at the red coupon machine each time you shop to get CVS coupons or sometimes ECBs.  Also go to CVS.com and register your card and immediately you'll be emailed a $4 off $20 coupon.  Also register for Beauty Club.  You'll then receive 10% off on your first order on all beauty items (this includes teeth, hair, make-up etc.).  Then whenever you reach $50 in beauty items (your card keeps track), you get $5 back in CVS money called "Extra Bucks" or "ECB's".  There are a lot of ways to earn more ECB's.    The easiest way is by purchasing a product with an ECB deal attached to it.  You can see all the ECB deals either by looking at the weekly ad flyer on CVS.com, or go to the Drugstore tab on www.truecouponing .com for a CVS breakdown for the week.

This coming week (starting 4/29) you may snag up to two tubes of Colgate toothpaste FREE!

What this information below tells  us is that there should be a coupon for either .50 or .30 cents off of Colgate toothpaste in the Smart Source from the paper 4/29 (Sunday, or Sat. if you get Sun Sentinal).  The R after the date tells us that this may be a regional coupon and not available in all areas of the country.  So let's hope it's in ours here in South Florida!

When you buy a tube of the designated Colgate toothpaste for $2.99, and use a .50 coupon, you pay $2.49 oop (out of pocket).  Then the cash register will spit you out an ECB (Extra Care Buck) for $2.49 which makes the product FREE!  You can do this two times per CVS card because it's limit 2 deals but you'd need two of the .50 off coupons to make them both FREE.  If you happen to be lucky enough to have found one of the elusive CVS beauty magazines called "Reinventing Beauty" sold only at CVS for .99, you may even make .51 on the deal!

$2.49

See you at CVS Sunday!

Scotch Brite looks Brighter when it's FREE!!!

Last week Winn Dixie had a BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) sale on Scotch Brite Botanical Disinfecting Wipes.  There just happened to be a BOGO printable manufacturers coupon available from coupons.com (by the way coupons.com is one of the best printable coupon sites out there).  So when you pair up the two you get the wipes absolutely FREE!  Here's how it works...BOGO from the store sale gives you one free.  The BOGO coupon gives you one free...so two free = FREE FREE!

I'm Sorry that this deal is over now...but I had a rain check so I was able to get another 4 last night!  I figure if I can't use them all I can always donate a few to the church nursery or something.

The double BOGO deals is a great one...I'll let you know the next time I find out about one.

Happy Freebies!

Barb

WELCOME!

Welcome to "Barb's Free for All", my new Blog.

I decided to start this blog so I could have a record of all the things I get for free, as well as sharing the wealth with all of you.  I mean really...what fun is getting things for free if you have no one to share the excitement with!

First let me say that I'm not going to make you any promises about keeping up with this blog.  You see I'm a chronic procrastinator and in general a very disorganized person.  So if I disappear one day, you'll know what happened.  I hope it doesn't, but I'm just warning you in advance.

Next let me fill you in on how I got involved with the world of coupons, deals and freebies.  It all started fairly recently.  My husband is self employed, and our income fluctuates a lot.  Sometimes we are wondering how we are going to keep food on the table...but God always provides!  (I guess this would be a good spot to tell you that I am a born again, saved, Bible believing Christian...which basically means I've trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.  My faith in God has gotten me through some pretty rough times).  Through the rough spots we have seen God do some amazing things.  But I decided that I needed to do my part too.  I wanted to be a good steward of the provisions that God gave us.  So that's when couponing came into the picture.  Last year I attended a homeschool convention with my daughter.  There was a couponing workshop done by Kati of www.truecouponing.com  I had used coupons before, but she had a whole new spin on it that involved keeping inserts whole and filing by date.  It's pretty neat.  I highly recommend her site.  At the time, it sounded good, but I wasn't ready for it.  About Feb. of this year, things were getting really bad financially.  I knew I needed to do something to help out.  That's when I started to put what I'd learned at the conference into practice.  I began following her system exactly, but then after I found a few other couponing sites, I ended up pulling a few ideas from each method of couponing until I had my own system worked out.

Now let me tell you I have been saving tons of money using these couponing methods.  And if you are interested in doing the same I would recommend starting with www.truecouponing.com.  But that's not what this blog is going to be about.  There are enough couponing sites out there to explain the how to coupon.

That leads me to my so called tag line of this blog:  "Cheap is Good...But Free is Better!".  I get some awesome deals using couponing, but the only deals I'll post here are ones that are absolutely FREE!  I may include some free deals that involve money out of pocket initially...as long as when all is said and done it didn't cost you anything in the end.

I'm going to start by showing you a shopping trip I made to the Mall yesterday:

I had received a Cold Water Creek catalog in the mail.  Usually there is some type of coupon attached like save $25 on a $50 purchase etc.  Honestly I usually don't really pay attention to the coupons anymore...but since I've been in coupon mode lately I've become very aware of any coupon.  I'm so glad I didn't toss this one because it said $25 gift!!!  There wasn't any purchase involved at all!  I couldn't find any clothing for that price (I think that store is a bit pricey), but found a necklace that happens to go perfect with my green and white shirt by the way, that was marked down from $39.95 to $20.99.  I had gotten a coupon from the Bath & Body Works Facebook promotion for a free travel size item up to a $6 value.  So the lotion I got for my daughter was $5 plus tax.  Plus they gave me more coupons in my bag!

Coldwater Creek Necklace:  FREE
Bath & Body Works lotion:  FREE

So you get the idea.  These are the kind of things I'll be sharing with you.  I will try to include links to coupons or websites if applicable.  The Cold Water Creek deal you'd have to have received the catalog in the mail so can't help you there.  For the Bath & Body Works deal you need to have a Facebook account.  Log in and search the Bath & Body Works Gift Cards App.  You have to send a Mother's Day Card to someone who will receive the free product coupon...and you'll get one as well.  (Warning...it prints a full color, full page coupon...so print black and white if your printer allows...maybe even on draft to save ink).

Well, that's it for my first Blog Post!  I hope to be checking back in soon!

Happy Freebies!
